Who is this Terry Wall guy?

As you can see in the smaller picture, I’ve had a camera slung around my neck since my wee years and have been around video and film for most of my adult life. I started with still photography which I studied while in the Marine Corps and learned—sometimes through trial and error—about the power of visual imagery as a compelling medium. I have spilled my (un)fair share of slide trays over the years, producing those now notorious 3-screen presentations for companies like Eastern Airlines and Norwegian Cruise Lines. During my tenure at NCL, I produced my first video to promote the line’s incentive and meetings capabilities, which contributed significantly to revenue increasing from $6 million to $23 million. While running my own travel company in Florida, I had the wonderful opportunity to produce and co-host a travel video in conjunction with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines which ran for two seasons on The Travel Channel.

Moving back to California in 1993 (chasing a girl, by the way, that I caught and married!), I served as sound technician for three churches before moving into video production. At Newport Mesa Church, I became technical director for the services, leading a 3-camera crew recording Sunday services, which were streamed to the web and captured on DVD for distribution. Following a stint on the video team at Beachcities Church in Huntington Beach, I moved to Mariners Church in Irvine, where I continue to serve on the video production crew. Through these experiences, I developed a keen understanding of the value of a well produced video; an understanding that is the cornerstone of our business model.

With so many requests to take on projects outside the church, it was a natural evolution, resulting in the creation of First Impressions Video.

Thanks for visiting today…come back again, as we’ll keep the blog fresh with great information about all aspects of motion–and even still–pictures!
